Interpersonal Conflict

Unhealthy relationships can take many forms, including physical, emotional, verbal, and financial abuse. If you are currently in an abusive relationship, it can be difficult to recognize the abuse and know how to escape it. You may feel trapped, isolated, and powerless. However, you are not alone, and there is help available.

Relationships are tough and can bring out the best (and worst) in us. You often find it hard to express yourself, even to those closest to you, or wondering why it doesn’t feel good to engage with your partner, friends, or family members. You question whether you’re losing your mind, or something is wrong with you.

You may even find yourself nervous around others or walking on eggshells around your partner or feel like a burden to others and like you’re too attached. Attachments to others can cause all of us pain, but we all have unique patterns that can predispose us to relationships that do not serve us. I help you go deeper and gain a better understanding of your own patterns of attachment, as well as identifying your individual needs.

If you’ve been feeling like your relationships aren’t “normal”, are toxic, or hot and cold, I will compassionately guide you into discovering what healthy behaviors look like for you. When we work together, you will develop stronger communication skills so you feel confident about yourself and your relationships, and ways to calm your nervous system in and outside of session.
